New development of the Internet and communication technology has improved the level of urban information infrastructure

With the improvement of the urban Internet of Things and the increase of network information, a large number of user-generated content, audio, text, video, pictures and other unstructured data have become the main body of big data. Single big data technology cannot meet the requirements of data storage and analysis, and it is urgent to build a big data platform to meet the new needs. Big data platforms can promote the sharing, opening and exchange of data, and help to streamline administration and delegate power, innovate the way of government governance, optimize market services and strengthen market regulation.

From the perspective of application field, big data platform is mainly used in e-commerce, public security, public transportation, telecommunications, simulation and other fields, which can be divided into power big data platform, public transportation big data evaluation platform, telecommunications big data platform, water utilities big data platform, etc.

From the perspective of system construction, it is usually divided into data acquisition layer, computing storage layer, capability service layer, application layer, platform management layer, etc. Through the analysis of the research work on big data at home and abroad, it can be found that the research on big data platform is still scattered at present, and many business information systems such as public security and e-government are still at the primary processing level, lacking comprehensive development and application.

At the practical level, with the continuous advancement of new urbanization and "Internet +", the development of new smart cities has entered a stage dominated by massive data.
